Placement Pal

Terms of use

Last updated August 2026

Who you are contracting with

Placement Pal is operated by Alejandra Torres ("we", "us", "our"), trading as Placement Pal. These terms form the agreement between you and Alejandra Torres for your use of the Placement Pal website and app. You can contact us at hello@placementpal.co.uk.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, accessing or continuing to use Placement Pal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You must be of legal age to enter into this agreement, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

What this app is

Placement Pal helps you capture and structure your own reflective practice while on placement. It is a writing and study aid for student nurses in the UK.

What this app is not

AI-assisted content

Every AI output — transcription, tidied wording, follow-up questions and drafts — is a draft for you to review, correct and rewrite in your own words. AI can misunderstand or invent detail. You are responsible for the accuracy and honesty of anything you submit for assessment. Many universities require you to declare AI assistance; check your programme's academic integrity policy before submitting.

Your responsibilities and acceptable use

Intellectual property

Alejandra Torres owns the Placement Pal service and all intellectual property in it, including the software, content, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service on your chosen plan. You keep ownership of everything you write; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service to you.

Plans, payment and subscriptions

Placement Pal Core is free. Placement Pal Plus is a paid subscription of £2.99 per month or £24.99 per year, starting with a 14-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from the Placement Pal Plus page in the app. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our refund policy for our 14-day refund window, and our pricing page for what each plan includes.

Refunds and cancellation

Placement Pal Plus starts with a 14-day free trial so you can evaluate the service before being charged. If you change your mind after a charge, you can request a full refund within 14 days of that charge. If a technical issue prevents normal use of the service, contact hello@placementpal.co.uk and we will fix it or refund you. Duplicate charges, accidental purchases and billing errors are always refunded; requests made outside the 14-day window are assessed individually. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep Plus access until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account returns to the free Core plan. Full details are in our refund policy.

Our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data.

Availability, warranties and liability

We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence. Export important reflections as PDFs so you always hold your own copy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
